June’s Curdbox is a Hillside Picnic theme, featuring three Jasper Hull Farm cheeses, and it all paired perfectly with summery beers from East Nashville Beer Works.

Moses Sleeper is a Brie-style cheese with the creamy texture you know, but a super funky nose and flavor that add a new dimension. I enjoyed this cheese most with Miro Miel, a crisp blonde ale brewed with local honey for great flavor in a light bodied beer. This beer was also a perfect pairing for the Les Trois Petits Cachon saucisson sec and Moutardes Fallot honey balsamic Dijon mustard. This is hands-down the best mustard I’ve ever had, a perfect complement to the spiced meat and blonde ale. This is the combo that will make you shamelessly moan out loud at the table.

Bayley Hazen is a fudgey rich blue cheese with a slightly sweet flavor, named World’s Best Unpasteurized Cheese. I absolutely loved this bite with Erdbeere, a strawberry Berliner Weisse that simply tastes like Summer. This beer was also a great pairing for Landaff, a Welsh style cheddar with medium body and a versatile buttery flavor. I also sampled through some small batch sours at East Nashville Beer Works like I Don’t Practice San-ga-ria, and a barrel aged Berliner that were both beautiful cheese-pairing beers.

As always, use my code “beerncheese” for 10% off your first month of Curdbox.
