Just Desserts | December 2019 curdbox

We closed out our first full year of CurdBox with unbridled holiday decadence with our Just Desserts Curdbox. We had three very different cheeses to mix and match with our sweet array of pairings. So, grab a spoon and get ready to dig in.

First up is our creamy Organic Champlain Triple Cream from Middlebury, VT. This young cow’s cheese is perfectly balanced on its own, or can act as an ideal, fluffy bed for our pairings. The Roquefort, from Société in Roquefort-Sur-Soulzon is a bold and blue sheep’s cheese that’s the perfect salty foil to stand up to anything you throw at it. And finally, our Roomano Pradera by Cheeseland in Holland is our free-loving aged cow’s cheese with a toffee undercurrent that will happily pair with everything you let it.

To pair with these three rockstars, we have Goat’s Milk Caramel by Fat Toad Farm in Brookfield, VT, a smooth and luscious caramel that’s perfect to drizzle over everything else from the box—or just directly into your mouth (don’t knock it ‘til you’ve tried it). Fruitons Sun-Dried Sweet Bing Cherries by Train Foods in Patterson, NY will round out its pairings with their tart, sweet, soft chewiness. And finally BobbySue’s “Raining Chocolate” Nuts add crunch and chocolate-ly depth to play off the creamy, salty, toffee, rich, and tart tastes that this box is bringing.
