WELCOME TO THE SUNDAY MORNING BRUNCH CURDBOX!

Spotify Playlist(Listen to this month's curated playlist) |
Slow mornings, second cups of coffee, and a table that fills up piece by piece with sleepy eyes and smiles— this month’s box is inspired by the kind of brunch that lingers. No reservations, no rush, just really good food meant to be enjoyed comfortably and over easy.
I’m Julianne, Co-Founder and owner of Curdbox, and this box is especially close to my heart. The very first Curdbox Jenn and I ever planned — all the way back in 2018 — was a Brunch box. It completely changed the way I thought about pairing cheese, showing me that cheese belongs just as much at the breakfast table as it does at dinner.
You’ll find Prairie Breeze inside as a small tribute to that very first box. It was part of the original lineup, and it’s the cheese that made us fall in love with what Milton Creamery calls “bites of sunshine.” Years later, it still brings that same warmth and brightness to the table—like eating sunshine on a slow morning. Everything else in this box is new, pulled together around my favorite weekend brunch flavors: strawberries and champagne, coffee, waffles, crispy bacon, and that unmistakable everything-bagel crunch that always pops up at the table. Each bite is meant to mix sweet and savory, indulgence and comfort.
So brew another cup, open something bubbly, turn on our Sunday Morning Brunch playlist, and let this board take its time. Indulge, relax, and enjoy brunch — the Curdbox way.
Strawberry Spritz Chèvre by Vermont Creamery
Soft and inviting, this fresh chèvre feels like a gentle indulgence captured in each decadent, creamy bite. Handcrafted by Vermont Creamery, it starts with their signature tangy goat cheese, thoughtfully blended with real strawberry pieces and a touch of honey that adds a natural, restrained sweetness. The texture is smooth and delicate, with bright flecks of fruit that bring a fresh lift, while the flavor carries a subtle impression of Champagne—light, aromatic, and softly effervescent in spirit. Notes of ripe berries weave through the clean, lactic character of the chèvre, creating a balance that feels playful yet polished, and especially well suited to an easygoing brunch table.
Barista by Groendal & Vantricht
There’s a quiet depth to this washed-rind cheese that is both familiar and unexpected. Inspired by classic Belgian Abbey styles, it begins with a rich, creamy cow’s-milk paste that’s gently coaxed into complexity over time. A layer of locally roasted coffee grounds runs through its center and dusts the rind, lending the cheese a warm aromatic quality and flavors that recall mocha, dark chocolate, and a touch of bright acidity. The coffee never overwhelms, instead settling into the creaminess and adding a grounding bitterness that feels deliberate and refined. It’s the kind of cheese that invites a slower pace—especially at brunch—where its subtle, roasted-notes echoes the comfort of a second cup and the pleasure of lingering a little longer at the table.
Prairie Breeze by Milton Creamery
Anyone who’s tasted Prairie Breeze knows that this cheese is something special. Crafted by Milton Creamery—it begins with cheddared curds that are patiently aged, allowing the paste to become dense and fudgy, with a gentle crumble that reveals sparkling crystalline flecks the makers fondly call “bites of sunshine.” The flavor leans sweeter than a traditional cheddar, opening with buttery, caramel-like notes and hints of ripe fruit before settling into nutty, savory undertones reminiscent of toasted almonds and a soft, brothy depth. It’s full and expressive without feeling heavy, striking a balance between richness and brightness that brings a unique, yet comforting flavor to the table.
And here are the pairing items that go along with these amazing cheeses…
Bacon Marmalade by Eat This Yum
Rich, savory, and unapologetically flavorful, this bacon-forward marmalade feels like something made for slow mornings and shared meals. It starts with uncured, nitrate-free bacon rendered until deeply flavorful, then folded together with caramelized onions, roasted garlic, and a splash of balsamic that adds gentle sweetness and depth. Bright notes of orange lift the richness, while fresh thyme and a touch of white pepper bring warmth and quiet spice. The aroma is smoky and inviting, and the flavor unfolds in layers—salty, sweet, tangy, and just a little bold—settling into something that feels both indulgent and thoughtfully balanced.
Original Stroopwafels by 3Bros
Rooted in a long-standing European tradition, this treat offers a thoughtful combination of texture and warmth. Two thin waffle layers, crisp at the edges and tender at the center, are joined by a generous layer of soft caramel that brings depth without excess. The waffles carry a gentle toastiness, lightly buttery and balanced, while the caramel delivers rich notes of cooked sugar with a smooth, lingering finish. The result is a refined take on a long-time classic, that feels more comforting than indulgent.
Everything Goes Nuts by Bobbie Sue's Nuts
This savory mix leans into flavors that are instantly recognizable, yet still manages to surprise as it instantly brings to mind a well-loved bagel shop morning. Roasted almonds, cashews, and pecans form a deeply crunchy base, coated in a bold mix of garlic, onion, sesame, and poppy seeds that delivers that classic everything flavor in a more unexpected form. Each handful feels layered and satisfying—salty, aromatic, and warmly spiced—without tipping into excess. The nuts themselves are rich and toasty, giving the seasoning something sturdy to cling to, while a light touch of sweetness rounds out the edges. It’s an easy fit for brunch, where its bold, familiar character feels right at home alongside relaxed conversation and a table meant for sharing.
And with that, we hope you enjoy your box—and we‘ll see you next time.
