Editor's Note: our friend Joe Burgers a.k.a. @bakerandthebeerd brings us his take on this month's curdbox and his beer-ish thoughts each month. April’s curdbox is dedicated to Brunch at Home, and packed with an array of sweet, salty, and nutty flavors. I paired this month’s box with a trio of sour and hoppy beers from Orpheus Brewing.

Norrmejerier Prästost is a rich Swedish cheese with a moderate nutty flavor that can be accentuated with roasted seeds from Top Seedz, or sweetened up with Mikuni Wild Harvest bourbon barrel aged maple syrup. I paired this cheese with Everything Lasts Forever, a blend of 1, 2, and 3 year old Lambic style beers with a dry funk.

Montchevre Cranberry Chèvre was an absolute star on Almondina cookies, a captivating creamy-sweet comfort food I would welcome at any brunch. This paired exceptionally well with Nothing Left to Give, a beautiful raspberry sour ale with 5.9% abv and a gorgeous, deep red hue.

Tomme Noire des Pyrénées is a smooth, buttery French cheese with a signature black wax rind. This cheese shines bright with the roasted seeds, or can be enjoyed deeply and thoroughly on its own. Elusory IPA adds layers of aromatic citrus rind hop notes to an especially versatile cheese.

As always, use my code beerncheese for $5 off your first month of Curdbox.
